This weekend ended 19. Cro-a-Porter, one of Croatian Fashion Weeks on which my all time favorite Croatian designers Ivan Tandaric & Aleksandar Sekuljica under the name ELFS presented their new collection for Spring/Summer 2012. I was so excited to see what they’ve came up with this time. Collection is very colorfull, mainly based on pink, yellow, beige & mint which is definitely it color of this season. Lots of pretty pastels & of course prints- which are their signature sign, just what we needed for this weather which gets warmer with every passing day.
I loved every single piece of this collection, but I picked some favorites for you to see and if you like it, you can go on their official site to see more: http://www.facebook.com/elfs.hr
Just got back home from a soccer match of my hometown. I’m huge fan of sports (don’t get fooled immediately, of watching it, not a fan when comes to doing it myself ;)), especially soccer. So it crossed my mind that I can show you what’s in my bag wherever I go.
P.S.: Most of the time I also have a book with me but I read last one, so on Monday I’m going to library find a new one. Thinking about Jodi Picoult’s My Sisters Keeper, one of my girlfriends recommended it to me. She’s said that’s pretty good, so…
Maybe some of you will ask yourself why did I choose this color, it’s Spring I need to go with something bright. I don’t think like that, don’t mind wearing all of the colors on my nails or clothes no matter which season is it.
So today I went with this deep burgundy, vampy color from OPI’s Chicago Collection. On the picture the color looks a little bit dark, but it’s not that dark, it’s because it was cloudy outside and the lightening in my room wasn’t very good. Went with 3 coats, without top coat cause I had an appointment and was running late so didn’t want to ruin them because I hadn’t time to wait for the top coat to dry. For me, perfect shade for any occasion. If you’re curious about the name like I was, I google it and this is what I found out: Catherine O’Leary owned a barn in Chicago in the 1870s. It is alleged that a lantern fell over or was knocked over by some cows that started a fire. This fire spread to most of the city and became known as the Great Chicago Fire. You got to admit that this is very interesting.
I went to Zagreb last weekend. To see my little bro and visit some dear friends. Zagreb is a capitol of Croatia for those who don’t know.:) Had an amazing time like I always do. I just love getaways to big cities (I come from a small town on Adriatic coast where everything is, like we say, 15 min away;), walking around for hours, discovering new places, spending hours drinking coffee & chatting with my girlfriends, like there’s no tomorrow;), going clubbing & of course shopping. So, I was very excited about shopping part (surprise, surprise- I’m a girl;)), that I couldn’t wait to come there, especially because I went to Split some time ago to find some pieces for Spring and didn’t found anything I really liked. Got to admit that I had similar experience in Zagreb, I’m mean I found some pieces but not exactly everything I had in mind.
Anyways, I’m very satisfied with these ones that I got. All of three pieces are from H&M and very classic, you can pair them with practically everything (I’m that kind of girl who don’t really like buying stuff that I can wear with specific pieces only, little bit boring, but that’s my style- classic & I love it:)). So I bought beige shirt which you can wear with jeans (tucked in, or not), leggings, skirt, under a jacket… you just need a big statement earrings or a chunky ring and couple of cuffs and you’re ready to go. What to say about jeans jacket and navy- white striped t-shirt? Classics which are never going out of style. I really needed a new jeans jacket, cause this old one that I have for couple of years now- to be honest, her time has definitely passed. So this new one was really cheap and of a good quality that I had to buy it. Jeans jacket pretty much goes with everything but my favorite combo is with long dresses which are pretty big for a while now. I’m kind of obsessed.
Moving on a beauty stuff. Restocked two old and got two new things. Reading about and watching on YouTube all that beauty gurus talking about Revlon Lip Butters that I really wanted to try them. Ordered on web Candy Apple & Lollipop and got to say… wow. Who would think that they’ll be so pigmented and in the same time moisturize my lips. Great job Revlon. The other thing that I heard about via YouTube is this company called Soap & Glory. They have a bit of best sellers but I picked Flake Away body scrub as my first their product. I didn’t yet tried it but got to say that smells soooo good, it reminds me of a Chanel perfume, think it’s Coco Mademoiselle, so who loves that perfume will definitely love this scrub. Lush Oatfix face mask is my go to mask. I’ve been using it for a while now and really love it. Just love the feeling of natural ingridients on my skin. I have very dry skin and I’m trying to buy as more natural beauty products as I can. Moroccanoil oil treatment not only that smells so good but you hair feels so silky. Even though my hair is very dry like my skin, I use just a little bit cause if you put too much your hair will be greasy the next day after you’ve washed and styled it, no one wants greasy bad hair day, right?:))
So, this was my mini review of things I bought last weekend in Zagreb, hope you guys liked it!
Hope you’re all having a wonderful Lazy Sunday! xo
